Forsa, here we come! Located in the blue mountains and folk music landscape of Hälsingland, more specifically in Hudiksvall municipality, lies Forsa parish and the community of Sörforsa. Here we will be greeted by a industrial history of enormous proportions. Until the 1970s, there was a lively textile industry here, which has since declined but still exists. The now unused parts of the textile factory form our residence for the summer. Perhaps the largest premises so far in the history of Tomma Rum? Holma Helsinglands AB, which has operated its linen spinning and weaving mill by Lake Storsjön since 1898, is our host for the summer. We have access to one of the enormously spacious buildings. There is a simple kitchen, shower and toilets. This year we will be ten people per week. It is important to know that we will sleep in parts of what used to be changing rooms and some will sleep several people in the same room. There are then separating light walls, such as those used at fairs, but they only partially delimit. In Sörforsa there is a grocery store, pizzeria and second-hand shop. In Hudiksvall there are larger shops. Welcome to another unforgettable summer with new creative encounters!
